20081115 Kyogle Run

Ride Report:
14 players started ( couple of newbies as well). Looked like a perfect day but y9ou scribe had to wimp due to a previous committment. There is an issue with the Tail end Charlie. At Beaudesert, one went to Neraang , one to somewhere(steve) and one followed the crew( Mike). He would have been a bit behind after waiting for us. Jim DUc was back so good to Pakistan hasnt got him yet!! Ken said it was fun.

080927 The Adventure begins- Moto GP run

The tour group is off on their big adventure this day for the ride down to the MotoGP. Fittingly we will ride with them to the brekkie stop which is traditionally at Kyogle. Meet 8am at the Shell Calamvale for the ride via Beaudesert, Rathdowney and the Lions Road to the Box and Dice Cafe. Afterwards we bid farewell to the GP boys and head home either on the Summerland Way or via Murwillumbah and Numinbah again.Stay Upright: Go to the Blog and view the rides

080920 The Ocean Trip to Cabarita

In respect of this week where the trip is to Cabarita and breakfast at Dave's could I please have an RSVP by Thursday from those intending to ride so I can give our hosts an estimate of numbers.
Ride Report:
Well, what a day - Travelling by the new bypass ( fantastic)we were all made welcome by Dave and Shannonat a lovely spot overlooking the Cabarita Beach . As a cook, Dave is a great Ducati rider (and the sausages were perfect). A quick glass of champagne (curtesy of ???) and off to Byron Bay for a (GB Ginger Beer). We are Tough! Our own Space Cadet, Adrian again disappeared. Off to Ballina and we picked him up at the Roundabout to Byron. One group headded off for Nimbin( I think) the other followed Neil- well , we found a great ride up to UKI via the dirt roads of the coastal ridges, bypass Murwullimbah (Speed Week) and over to Nerang via the NAtural Arch road. Great ride. Made life a bit of fun and Andrew, Steve , Kim , and Neil survived. Hope the speed boys are all ok somewhere else!! watch this space for the update. Back up to Brisso by 2.30 after what was a great precurser for the next weekend. Pity Ken missed the dirt. Andrew loved it- Not!

080913 Up Toowoomba Way

Ride Report:

Great day up via the back roads of Ipswich and the Laidley so the scenery was delightful. Except for Brendan, the attending crew are going to the Moto GP- Adrian, Kim,Neil, Henry, Steve, with Pete doing a sting down from the Kin Kin hinterland for some practice. Lots of decisions made and the tension builds. Back via the Esk sweepers and over the hill to Neals for a tipple. Lovely ride and lots of fun. the Scribe.

Ride Report: "Tell me, which way is Velleneuve again?" direct quote from Adrian. as he sits at the Mt Glorious turnoff for one hour and the boys wander the backwood trails of Woodford and Kilcoy looking for the tangled wreck of the Dave P's GS1200. Dave rode that Susy very hard. A good swap for a ride gone wrong. Lesson learnt is that the tailend charlie needs to keep an eye on all chaps and the riders needs to keep an eye out for the rider in front and behind. The ride was superb. Weather great & the roads clear. Adrian, Ken, Dave P, Kim, Craig, Ian, Neal, Steve, Andrew, and Bernie took off from the Gap BP. Scribe
