I'll be buying the breakfast rations on Friday and then taking them up to Pete. Hope to see as many as possible this Saturday.

Clifton Run
From: Ken Sent: Tuesday, 22 April 2008 12:46Subject: This weeks ride This week we are headed on one of the new trails we've recently found to Clifton that we explored in February but with a slightly different route. Meet at the BP Goodna 7am as usual. Then we head up to Grantham through Ipswich and via the back roads. From there we go south-west to Clifton via Ma Ma Creek. Brekkie will be at Clifton as before. To get home I was thinking of going into Toowoomba via Nobby, Greenmount and Cambooya and then taking the road via Highfields, Hampton & Ravensbourne to Esk and then ending up over Mt G. This is all supposing the weather is good, if any doubts on the day please give me a call in the morning 0418886041.
Just had a message from Adam xxxx passing on his regards to all of us.
Regards
Ken

Bev's at Spring Creek Mountain
Last week was a bumper turnout with 11 bikes starting out. We lost some along the way but with such a long ride planned that was expected. The plan this week is to head up to Bev’s Spring Creek Mountain CafĂ© for brekkie. Meet 7am at the BP Goodna for a ride via Peaks Crossing, Boonah and Carney’s Creek. After Brekkie we will ride through Killarney for fuel and then bypass Warwick and head for a drinks break at the BP Aratula, then home. Should be back about 1pm. Please let me know if you are riding so that I can warn Bev on how many to expect for brekkie. Hopefully see you bright and early Saturday morning.
On another matter we are keen to get a blog in place and Kim has put up his hand for this job. Conjecture over a name for the blog is something that needs some work. If you have any ideas please pass them on so we can get some consensus.

The Tough Nuts
Kim, Neil and Adrian braved the chill and the blustery conditions while all the other woossies stayed in - BMW rule! ( and the odd Suzuki) After the long wait for the boys to turn up - we left Mike (all the best for the hospital bit) and shot up the highway to Caloundra, into the Steve Irwin Way , dropped a crocodile or two and shot over the range to the Montville at "the Edge" for Breakfast -so far no rain! After passing on the advice of ages about women to young Adrian , Kim and Neil had to shut up when he advised us of his exploits - is there a tall story here or three? Kim and Neil would never extend the truth !! Pete dropped on to the table for a snack and the second coffee was welcome. He took us down the mountain to the service road along to Kenilworth. The extremely large fellow (not Kim) with the single scoop of icecream that slopped over the edges of the cone, convinced us that here was another stop for a small refreshing icecream- Neil reminisced about the fabulous kids playground! Adrian wanted to ride the 1987 K100 so I reluctantly agreed(he only has a 2007 Suzuki RSX1000 superbike) . Heading for Maleny, I discovered why some people prefer modern bikes! All that handling technology was quickly forgotten as Adrian swapped me back - ah well, I'll wait for another day and save my brekky money. Great ride back to Maleny and down the Mt Mee circuit. Bit of water but nothing to inhibit the progress. Back to the ol' town without incident. Good ride clear roads-- Oh and the weather was perfect for those who wimped!

20080405 The Toowoomba Run or "The Runny Yolks yarn"
Off to the west again. Kim, Ken, Neil, DAnny, Adrian again off to the Valetta for a quick snack via a tremendous run up the Mountain from Ipswich via Rosewood and the back of the Range to Toowoomba . The day was truly magnificient and the blue sky glistened for us. The fluffy white clouds added to the usual experience in Queensland South East -another day in Paradise. At Breakfast, the poached eggs were not hard this time - thanks chef. Ken will have a long time to live down the "you said SOFT yolk poached eggs- damnit" . Kim bolted for Brisso for a quick realestate manouver and the lads rode to Esk.
