The Museum Run( unless wet)

Weather permitting we plan to ride to Esk for brekkie at the Motel this week. Meet at the BP Goodna 7am for a ride via Glamorgan Vale, Lowood, Lake Atkinson, Coominya to Esk. Afterwards the plan is to head up the hill to Hampton and then on to Toowoomba with maybe a stop for coffee and refreshments at Valetta. The trip home will be down the highway to Haigslea where we plan to stop at the Australian Motorcycle Museum fopr a look, before returning home. Should be home about 1pm depending on the length of the stops. Any doubts on the ride please call me on the morning on 0418886041. Stay Upright Regards Ken

Ride REport: All froze to death on the trip up to Esk. Lovely departure with the sun shining and the birds covered in ice! Up the track saw us going via lowood and the morning cloud cover was extremetly low. fog had us at about 40Kph for a lot of the time. Atending were ADRIAN, Mike, Ken, Steve, Ian, Danny, Neal, and Andrew. Lester and PEte turned up a bit later - Pete learnt how to scoff eggs and bacon in a hurry. Breakfast was a sassy affair with all happy to be off the bikes and into the heated dining room - what a lot of sensible bikers! UP along the range to Toowoomba and a quite pee stop at valettas. Down to the range to the Minden Bike Museum - quite a special trip - thanks to Danny for the info on some of the bike - new job as a tour guide maybe?

080719 Up Melany way

This week we’re up to Montville for brekkie at the Edge Café. Leave usual time 7am from the Shell at Aspley. We ride up the highway to the Mudjimba turnoff and head to Montville via Mapleton. After brekkie we will carry on down to Maleny and then head down the back of the range to Woodford, then over Mt Mee, Dayboro and the Samford. At Dayboro we’ll make a decision on whether or not to venture up the back to Mt G for a stop at the Neil’s café overlooking the Samford Valley, before heading home. Look forward to seeing you then weather permitting. Call me on the morning if in doubt about the ride 0418xxxxx.Pete or Malcolm (our Sunshine Coast crew) if you want to catch up with us just let me know of a convenient pickup spot and we'll meet you there along the way.

080712 Kyogle without Steve

Stephen is away this weekend which leaves the way open for a ride to Kyogle. I understand that the forecast is good for the weekend. I'll send out the ride notice tomorrow.
As the weather beat us last week the proposal is to try again for Kyogle. From all reports so far it looks clear but cold for the ride on Saturday morning. Unfortunately I was beaten before I got out of the drive way with more electrical problems or should I say still unresolved electrical problems. My bike is out of action again for this weekend so someone else will need to lead the group unless I can beg borrow or steal a ride.Meet 7am at the Shell Servo at Calamvale and head out to Beaudesert, then Rathdowney and on to Kyogle via the Lions Road. After brekkie at the Box and Dice we will head home on the Murwillumbah road via Uki, turning off to Tyalgum, Chillingham, and the Numinbah Valley. We should be home around 1pmStay Upright,Regards,Ken
Ride Report: Hi all - well there was a first - Ken on a Triumph (thanks Tim). The ride was spectacular - all the way down the weather looked a bit dodgy! you know the type of day - brisk with perfect skies. Ken, Neal,KimB,Adrian, Andrew,Danny, and Mike. Headed down the Lions and the washouts were very obvious. Lots of bribge damageand detours. Looks like they might spend some money on the raodas though which will be great. Had a lot of other bikers on the road for company. Brekky at the Box and Dice and a great ride back to Uki and the tyalgum run, finishing in with scones at???. Ran back olong the nerang highway with the other millions. Back about 2.00pm. Kim and ken enjoyed the Rugby on the enormous screen at his place - no wonder he never goes to the live games!! Thanks Ken.

080705 Kyogle in the Winter

This week the plan is to head to Kyogle for brekkie at the Box and Dice. After brekkie we will head home on the Murwillumbah road via Uki, turning off to Tyalgum, Chillingham, and the Numinbah Valley. Meet 7am at the Shell Servo at Calamvale and head out to Beaudesert, then Rathdowney and on to Kyogle. We should be home around 1pm.With all the fuss on at present with the road toll we should expect to see plenty of enforcement activity on the roads. We have entrusted this task to a bunch of clowns in government whose only response is that speed kills and more fixed cameras will help. When will these morons wake up that flogging a dead horse gets you nowhere. Ken

RIDE REPORT:How Slack! Neil, Steve, Kim, Adrian, Andrew and Micheal We all went to Beaudesert and then wimped because of the wet. Ken lost the plot in the garage. Good thing too as the rain came down. Steve is the hero as he had already made plans to meet up with some others so off he went. What is the difference between a wet ride to Kyogle and a wet ride to Esk via Boonah? answer NOTHING. We did find a really nice scones stop with coffee in a historic farmhuse near just b4 the Esk -Brisbane exit for $5.50 a serve. The boys followed Neil and Kim- After the Palinlands roundabout Kim had them in a Woolworths carpark and Neil had them off on a dirt road! - what fun - All got wet - all had a great day. Next week Kyogle
