Meet 7.30 am at the huge BP LHS south bound on the M1 at Yatala and ride through Beenleigh over Mt Tamborine and then into Canungra for brekkie. Afterwards the plan is to ride to Boonah via Beaudesert and then on to the Rosevale Pub via Warrill View . Afterwards we head home via Merryvale, Mt Walker and Amberley.
Just a sobering thought on motorcycle accidents in today's paper. Those who were out with us on Mt G last week saw the remnants of an off which was not fatal. Let's make sure we are all round for a long time. One thing for sure after the article below is another blitz will happen on bikes and at Mt G.

Further to the above and in response to a request by Jim I have the web address below for an article called 'The Pace' which some of you will have seen before. It is well worth a read. And further to this comes a thought from a discussion I recently had. If someone catches you from behind please wave them through. I always make a habit of this when I'm aware that I'm sitting in front of someone. This becomes more crucial when riding on a winding road where overtaking is very difficult. We don't want a situation occurring where someone tries to overtake a rider who changes his line. Consequences can be disastrous. Please be thoughtful and patient. I don't like preaching as I'm sure everyone in our group is riding well, but we have had a large increase in our numbers and with more riders come more variables and the more variables the more the risk increases.

RIDE REPORT:
Good ride with Steve, Kim, Neal, Andrew, Adrian and Mike, the Dentist and mate (??)and Lester, who joined us at the new restaurant TATRA on Mt Tambourine, magnificent day and a good feel. Great German Sausage and good coffeeand bright sunshine in the cool mountain air - what a life in Queensland! Kim led from the Stapylton BP and discovered the biggest line of semi -trailers he could to stay behind. Nice ride up the curves and over the top (via the long way as Lester said the Goat track was a bit slippery). Kim, Mike Lester, Steve went back to the Gold Coast and continues to brisso - the boys went back to cunungra - Mate ?? lost his lisence with points from the wallopers- we will all struggle I think with the clampdown. Nice footy drinks for the Rugby at Kens place that night.
